Across every subject, the Kinghorn-based company recorded a 94.9 per cent pass rate from more than 3,000 lessons this year.

Which English levels do you tutor in Fife?

Primary Literacy
Support with reading, spelling, punctuation and early writing, built around what the pupil is covering in class.

P1 to P7National 5 English
One-to-one support across the National 5 course: close reading, critical essays, the Scottish set texts and the writing folio.
Tutors mark practice answers and build the timing and structure the exam rewards.
S4, also National 4Higher English
Higher asks for sharper analysis and tighter essays than National 5, and the jump catches plenty of students out.
Sessions cover Reading for Understanding, Analysis and Evaluation, the critical essay and the set text, with past papers as exams approach.
S5 and S6Advanced Higher English

Is home tuition or online English tuition better?
It depends on the student.
Younger students often want a tutor at the table beside them. Teenagers are usually happy on a screen.
Online tuition also gives us a wider pool of tutors to choose from, which can be particularly useful for Higher, Advanced Higher and the folio.
